Face to Face with Caravaggio is a project by the Saint John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation (Valletta, Malta), featuring four different multimedia installations designed to explore Caravaggio’s masterpiece The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist in depth: an entrance corridor, an immersive room, an interactive wall, and a final wall projection.
I designed and produced the animated and motion graphics content for the entrance corridor, with floor projections of Caravaggio’s works, and for the immersive room dedicated to The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist.
During the production phase, I reconstructed and animated the painting’s characters, and created graphic sequences to illustrate the perspective and lighting of the artwork—inviting visitors to fully immerse themselves in Caravaggio’s painting.
